Breaking and Bald Spots on daughter's hair!

Hi Flydivastyles,

I need your help. My daughter hair is breaking like crazy..she has bald spots all over. I know that you're good with hair. Can you tell me what you recommend to get her hair back. She had weave in for the first time and it really damaged her hair. She haven't had a perm in about 9 months. Now she's wearing braids to cover the baldness. Help!!!!!!!!!!

Mom who cry for help!

                                        *******************************************

Dear Mom who cry for help,

Use either apple cider or white vinegar on the scalp daily. Wash the hair using a topical shampoo (Neutrogena T-Gel ) containing coal tar or salicylic acid. Dry the hair without using a hair dryer and comb vinegar through the follicles and into the scalp. Allow the vinegar to dry. Vinegar kills fungus that causes severe seborrheic dermatitis. See below for info on how to use it.

Shampoo - Neutrogena T-Gel which contain coal tar (nourish the scalp, which promotes hair growth.)

Scalp Massage
Use the pads of the fingers to massage the scalp. Use circular motions over the entire surface of the scalp. Begin massaging the scalp at the base of the neck. Massage in circular motions, working from the neck to the sides, and eventually to the top of the head. Scalp massages can be done simultaneously with shampooing or prior to the washing of the hair in order to release excessive oil and dirt from the scalp and the hair follicles. Scalp massage also can be achieved by using a hairbrush made of pure boar bristles.

Vinegar Conditioner
Use a solution of 50 percent apple cider vinegar and 50 percent water after washing the hair. Massage the vinegar and water solution through the hair follicle and into the scalp. Vinegar works to balance the pH level of the scalp and to kill fungal infections and scaly deposits. Leave the vinegar solution in the hair to dry. Comb or brush your hair after it has dried.

Mother’s Day is Coming Round Once Again

Is this something you look forward to, or something you dread?

Do you have a mother you look up to or resent?

Do you have children who look up to you or, for some reason, dislike you?

What does Mother’s Day mean to you?

If you go to church, what kind of message would you like to hear shared on that special day?

I’d love to hear about it.

Twist-out with Let's Jam Custard

Good Morning Divas!

It has been a week since I purchased the Let's Jam Custard, and I used it for the first time last night. I did 2-strand twist on my hair for a twist-out look today and I must say I love it.

I did the 2-strand on air dry hair (still damp) with just the Let's Jam Custard. Wake up this morning and did the twist-out with Coconut Oil. See the results below! I love it.

My hair is soft, it has shine (a lot of it) and the drying time is way better than using conditioner alone.

So far, I really like this styler! The price, $5.49 (buy 1 get 1 50% off), the ingredients (they're not all natural but that is fine with me) and the overall look I get from using it.

What I do not like about this product is the size, it is definitely on the smaller size...it isn't too small, but it isn't that big either (10 oz.). I like the smell.

That is pretty much it. Will I add it to my staples? Absolutely! I really like the Jam Custard.

Have you tried the Jam Custard yet? Do you like it? Yes or No?

Giveaway: Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler

We all know how important recycling is, but I'm guilty of not doing it, everyday. Yes, I have a recycling bin for garbage day, but I don't use it like I should. The reason that I might not use it might be because its not in the house and I don't feel like going to the garage all throughout the day, or I'm just plain lazy!

But anyway, I heard about Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler, and decide I would like the opportunity to try it out and see how it would work for me.

This recycler is the perfect size to hang over a cabinet door (or attach to) and its big enough to hold items like gallon milk jugs.  The bag is actually a 5 gallon bag and can hold up to 36  twelve ounce cans.  The bag is soft and flexible, has a leak proof liner and is machine washable.  Plus everything from the packaging to the bag is completely recyclable.

I can now recyle without all the hassle of going to the garage.  If you want a chance to win one of your own, just leave me a comment below and don't forget to include your email address so I have a way to track you down if you win, open to US and Canada only.

This giveaway will end at midnight on May 16th, Good Luck!
