Fall is here!

Last month was the official start of fall and I want to get decorative around the house.... but how? I am the worst at making a on the fly decision for interior design, I usually have to come back to the item in the store like 3 or 4 times before I decide if I should buy it or not (and I usually leave without it). Making "right now" choices is something on my list of things to accomplish...... still waiting to conquer that.

I'm really excited about making the house festive for the seasons, I have all these ideas in my head! We don't get company often, but I still want to be able to liven up the space for show and tell lol. Here are some of the things that inspire me:

I decide just do do the fire place mantel. Here is my final results. Let me know what you think!

Weight Watchers Ice Cream Review: So Many Varieties to Try!

I love to end the day with a little something sweet and the six new Weight Watchers Ice Cream Treats I was sent to try out and review are just perfect.  It's nice to feel a little indulgent by having ice cream every night but not blowing my healthy eating efforts.  The Chocolate Smoothie Frozen Yogurt Bar shown above is only 60 calories, with a 2 PointsPlus value, and is perfectly sized for a creamy snack!

They have red velvet chocolate swirled in low fat cream cheese frosting flavored ice cream surrounded by two red velvet chocolate flavored waters.   Before the first bite I wasn't too sure about cream cheese flavored ice cream but these little sandwiches are really delish and have a rich flavor.  They have a more cake-like flavor than I expected and have a 3 PointsPlus Value. These are on their way to becoming a freezer staple!

We also tried out the Greek Frozen Yogurt varieties, in Blueberry Swirl (left) and Peach Swirl (right).  Both have a 2 PointsPlus value and contain live & active cultures.  They are so creamy that they don't taste low fat to me at all!

These two were my very favorites!  The Giant Latte is BIG and tastes just like the iced lattes I love to drink.  They are creamy and have just 90 calories.  I love enjoying a frozen version of my favorite coffeehouse drink.  I have been having one of these while my daughter eats her after school snack and they've been the perfect afternoon pick me up.

I thought the crunchy chocolaty cookie coating and the bits of cookie swirled in the luscious low fat vanilla was a fabulous combination!  These have a 3 PointsPlus value per bar and were the first box to be emptied.

Weight Watchers Ice Cream Treats are a yummy and delicious way to indulge!  They make perfect snacks and desserts.  We love having a a variety on hand to meet every craving.  It just gets hard at times to decide which one to eat! Look for them in your local grocery store's frozen section.

I received these product free fro testing purposes.

Be Patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

I have a friend I would love to give away.

She is a nice enough woman. Her only problem? She thinks she is an expert in everything. She was married for only a few years, but she knows how to fix every marriage problem. She never had any children, but she knows exactly what will make Johnny behave. She knows the best solution to every problem in the world. In her great generosity, she is more than willing to share her wisdom with anyone who asks. She even shares her wisdom with those who don’t ask!

Ever know someone like her? Not the easiest to love!

People who are self-absorbed and think they know everything irritate me. As the saying goes–people who think they know everything annoy those of us who really do!

It does not matter how much she annoys me with her attitude or her actions. God commands me to bear with her in love. He commands me to patiently endure her lectures, put up with her attitudes, love her just like Jesus loved me. Anything less and I have sinned.

I have sinned. I have no excuse.

No matter what annoys us, God commands us to put up with each other in love. Not in grouchiness, not in rolling our eyes, but in love.

Just like Jesus bears with us in love.

Don’t you think we annoy Jesus? How often in prayer have we told him just how he should run things, without seriously deferring to his wisdom as God? We think the wisdom he puts in the Bible is OK, but ours is better. Those who think they know everything annoy the God who really does!
Yet he loves us. He forgives us. Day after day, he loves you and me. We tell him what to do. He patiently listens to us, incorporates our ideas when he can, and always answers us in love. He guides our lives so we never suffer the full consequences of our arrogant stupidity. He keeps pulling us back to himself. He enjoys listening to our thoughts and our prayers. He looks for every chance to share his thoughts with us through the Bible. He keeps dealing with us in love. He never tries to give us away. He just keeps forgiving us for the sake of Jesus and doing what is best for us.
He really does bear with us in love!

Jesus, thanks for not treating me the way I deserve. Forgive me for thinking I’m smarter than you. Forgive me for becoming impatient with others who think they are smarter than I. Help me bear with them in love, just like you have done with me! Amen.

Holding Your Hand

"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand."
Isaiah 42:6

Animated Doves Flying
“I wanna' hold your hand.”  Remember that Beatle’s tune?  We appreciate a personal touch. But in this verse of the Bible from Isaiah, the picture isn't so much of romantic lovers, but of the parent who is taking the child by the hand. Can you picture it? The parent along with the toddler needs to cross the street, so the parent takes the toddler by the hand, guiding and protecting.

Surprisingly, in our Bible reading, the picture is that God the Father is the parent, and it's Jesus' hand which is being held. It reminds us that Jesus—the true God—became truly human, with our human weaknesses and needs. And so God the Father guided him, protected him, indeed, "held his hand" as he walked Jesus through life and finally to his death on the cross. The Father was guiding, protecting and holding his Son through it all.

But to what end? It was all for YOUR benefit, and MINE!  It was all so that forgiveness and eternal life could be won for YOU and for ME!  The Father held the hand of the Son, guiding him, directing him, caring for him, but ultimately with your interests in mind.

Now God the Father, because of the work of his Son, can look at you and say, "I wanna' hold your hand, too."  And he does!

Lord, I am encouraged to know that I can count on you for help in my life.  Take my hand and lead me.  Give me the assurance that as your child by faith in Jesus, you are guiding me through every circumstance and pointing me on my way to heaven.  Amen.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Mascara

Overall, the Rimmel London Scandaleyes waterproof mascara held up nicely all day and night. It never smeared or broke down. It glides on smooth and nice. I was happy with it! I used the Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, on a cotton ball, to remove the waterproof mascara.  It looked great on my eyes and was indeed waterproof. Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Taste Test (#CelestialTea)

had the opportunity to try some Candy Cane Lane Green Tea by Celestial Seasonings (#CelestialTea)! I am generally a green tea drinker so I was open to trying this blend inside of my Influenster Frosty Voxbox!  If you ask for an honest opinion on the taste of something that’s exactly what you are going to get… I refuse to disclose a lie if I do not care for a product … with that in mind let’s get started on our Tea Tasting journey this morning.

Let’s get you started out right in this journey of tea tasting this morning by utilizing their exact directions from the box of Candy Cane Lane Green Tea…
Pour very hot water just at the brink of boiling over one tea bag – using slightly cooler water to brew green tea results in a smoother, more delicate flavor. Steep 3 minutes and remove tea bag. Add milk or sweetener if desired.
I had no serious complaints, thought it would be a great seasonal product for enjoying with friends and or family. I would consider buying this product at the market and would share my experience with friends and or family.

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.
Acts 10:34-35

Are you a “Christian-By-Association”? In other words, do you consider yourself a Christian because you can point to your familiarity with the trappings of Christianity? Perhaps you can rattle off happy memories of going to Sunday School or a Christian Day School. Perhaps you can recall what it was like to be in the children’s Christmas program on Christmas Eve.

Perhaps your parents and grandparents were active in the church life and you’ve inherited some family connections and personal relationships with various pastors and teachers.

If that’s all you’ve gotten out of your exposure to Christianity, however, you’ve got nothing.

God does not show favoritism. It does not matter to God how active your parents were at church. It does not matter to God how many songs you sang in Christmas Eve services of your childhood. It does not matter to God how many pastors and teachers you know by name. If you or I think God will accept us because we’re familiar with some trappings of Christianity, then we are not hearing him. Our ears are closed. And a moment is coming when we’ll be in for a real shock.

What matters to God is our relationship with Jesus. What matters to God is our trust in Christ as our Savior from sin. What matters to God is the forgiveness we possess through faith in Jesus’ perfect life and death in our place. What matters to God is that our personal eyes of faith are fixed upon his Son.

No favoritism. Only Jesus. And Jesus alone makes all the difference in the world. Your world too.

Heavenly Father, forgive me for all the times I have not focused on your Son. Wash me in his blood. Renew my zeal for the gospel. Amen.

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum (#418)

I tested '#418 Sugar Plum' and it is fantastic! It's not too nude in color but not at all too shimmery for every day use. I really like this lip color! Oh my! I use it with a bit of black lip stick as a cocktail, but that's not necessary. I already enjoy using NYC lip colors and products, in general, but this one was new for me and I would recommend giving it a go!

So, there you have it!

Your opinion of each of these products will vary. Do you have a favorite product among these products I have reviewed? If so, share it in a comment below!
